Flyers Injury Update, Santa Sacks Available
The Philadelphia Flyers have some bumps and bruises that have continued to haunt their everyday roster, but it looks like two prominent pieces could be returning sooner rather than later.
Both Danny Briere (thigh, flu) and defensemen Ryan Parent (groin, flu) practiced on their own today in Voorhees, N.J. at the Flyers Skate Zone.
When good news rolls around for the Flyers, bad news must be directly behind them.
James van Riemsdyk and Ole-Christian Tollefsen were hurt in Saturday’s 2-1 shootout win over the St. Louis Blues. GM Paul Holmgren gave medical update yesterday regarding both players.
“James has a ‘fleck’ fracture at the tip of his left pinkie finger. He will not practice (Monday) and is day-to-day. Ole (who suffered a mild concussion) was better today, and we will re-evaluate again tomorrow. He will not practice (Monday) and is day-to-day.”
SANTA SACKS
The Flyers have announced that their annual Santa Sacks will return and be on sale beginning November 16. “Give the Gift of Flyers Hockey!”
