Flyers Waive Randy Jones

jonesIn what was an expected move the Philadelphia Flyers placed defensemen Randy Jones today. The waive cost was $15,000.

The Flyers now have cap space that they desperately need. The Jones move clears about $3 million off the cap number. That money can help the Flyers add Blair Betts to their main roster and keep both James vanRiemsdyk and Mika Pyorala.

    also hearing that svyret will most likely be the 6th d-man, not tolleffson…interesting

      Yes, I talked to Coach Stevens today after practice. He basically said Svyret is the guy, and Tollefsson is in there. But, honestly I don’t know for sure here. I’ll know when the team makes the call.
